August 2014 Visiting Teaching Printable

August 11, 2014 in Family Room

Why is it that summer visiting teaching always seems to be so tricky? Instead of loads of free time and open schedules, it is harder than ever to coordinate calendars and get those visits in.

I admit I was a pretty horrible visiting teacher this summer, but now that school is starting I’m ready to be awesome, so I got it done early this month. :)

I love that the visiting teaching messages this year are all about Jesus Christ. This month‘s focus is all about His role as Messiah.

"Jesus Christ will ever be at our side. He will fight our battles. He is our hope." I love this quote from the August visiting teaching message.

I love this quote: “[Jesus Christ] will ever be at our side. He will fight our battles. He is our hope; He is our salvation; He is the way.” -Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Life is full of hard times and challenges we have to endure, but we are never alone – no matter what! Jesus Christ is always at our side. Nothing brings me more hope than knowing my Savior is fighting my battles with me.

I delivered these notes with a little plate of cookies to my sisters this month. If you would like this note, you can download the full-size file to print out a 4×6 card by clicking the photo above or 4 quarter-sheet cards by clicking on the photo below.

April Visiting Teaching printables

This sweet little handout comes from this month’s message. You can either print this front and back like I did OR choose one page or the other. Cut it out, punch a hole in the corner, and attach it to a treat.

Voila! Instant visiting teaching!

Personally, I didn’t even make appointments – just showed up at their doors and handed them chocolate. Can we all admit we LOVE that kind of visit every once in awhile? I even raided my stash of mini Cadbury eggs. That stash has to last me until next year! But I pulled out a bag for my sisters.

That is sacrifice.

But seriously, the month ends tomorrow. It’s not like they’re going to think I’m going above and beyond the call of duty…

Let’s all try to do better in May. Mm-kay?

Click on the previews for each download page. I printed the scripture and definition on one side and the quote without the border on the other side. Without the border it didn’t have to match up exactly and it would still look good.

A week of fabulous #free #printables at fortyeighteen.com

Happy Free Printable Week!

Okay, I just made that up… but it really is what I’m celebrating this week. I have a bunch of fun printables to share with you, starting with this one.

Great #printable for March 2014 visiting teaching or just a great reminder for every day.

This goes along with the March Visiting Teaching message, but it’s also just a really great scripture. I love knowing that no matter how lost I may feel or how hard things may get, the light of Christ can overcome any darkness.

I attached this note to a candle – and of course, I added some chocolate, too. I mean, what is a visiting teaching visit without chocolate???

February Visiting Teaching Notes

January 26, 2014 in Family Room

I love the visiting teaching messages this year. I wasn’t a huge fan of all of those lessons about visiting teaching. Did anyone else feel a little awkward telling someone exactly how you were failing to live up to the ideal VT standard, or was it just me?

But lessons about the divine mission of Jesus Christ? Yes, please.

I always like to bring something with me to give to the sisters I visit. Generally a note with a yummy treat – because who doesn’t love a great VT treat???

February’s message is all about Jesus Christ’s roll as the Good Shepherd.I am so grateful to know that Jesus Christ knows and loves ME as an individual. That when I wander and stray from His path, I am worth leaving the 99 to save. Because of His atonement, I will never be so lost that I cannot be found and make my way back to Him. He laid down his life for me, and now it is my responsibility to live my life for Him. My hands are His hands on the earth, and my responsibility is to lift and serve His children.

You can find the whole message HERE. Then feel free to download these little handouts to take with you when you visit.
